Hello,

I’m new to Poser and I would like to be able to export a figure that can be imported and rendered in 3DS Max 9.

I tried exporting as 3DS, but Max 9 will not import. I tried exporting as OBJ, and Max will import, but not with the mapping coordinates. I need the model and it’s texture coordinates to be imported. How do I go about this?

Thank you much for the help

use the guruware importer http://www.guruware.at/main/index.html
I assume you know how to use the unwrap uvw modifier.

Thank you - That plugin worked for me. Is it easy these days to make a  Prop/Hair/Cloths in Max and import it into Poser? I’m not asking how to do it, I’m just wondering if the import/export process is as simple as this was. Has someone made some kind of “Max Mesh to Poser Props” importer?

Thanks again for the help

It works the same way for export.
export your model as an obj.file with the guruware plugin,
In the plugin you can choose the poser profile so all the parameters are set for you.
Only remember your scale settings { if you import the file with a scale of 100 ,you export with a scale of 0,01 wich are the default settings of the plugin}
