Firstly, I hope everyone will forgive me any silly 'newbie' faux pas I may make. I am really very new to using Poser as anything other than an animation tool. ^_^; There should be a 'content advisory' option for 'clueless newbie'. ^o^
I have searched the forums and perhaps I'm not using the correct search terms but I'm having a difficult time finding information on how one goes about creating custom skin textures for Poser figures. I'm sure it involves UV mapping and whatnot but ideally what I'd like to find is a tutorial that outlines the general workflow from start to finish. However, at this point suggestions for any sort of texturing tutorial would be helpful!
I do have some small experience unwrapping models and creating textures (3DS Max and, don't laugh, Second Life ;D ) so I'm not a complete hopeless case.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions and guidance the community can provide!

Thank you! My only concern with these is that they are for photo-realistic textures and may be overkill for what I need. The project I have in mind requires porcelain or gofun-look skin textures inspired by Japanese art dolls and probably could be hand-painted rather than photo-ref'ed.
I'm definitely putting those tutorials on my wishlist though! ^_^

The thing about Byron's tutorials is that they go through the entire process, including UV Mapping. You can, of course, paint your textures without using photo references but these will give you a feel for the process from beginning to end.
