I am currently having problems with Vivians Flower generator in Vue 6 Esprit at home, which is strange as it works at the office with Vue 6 infinite.
Has anyone here used Vivians program with V6 Esprit? I cant get it working, but i think its my crappy computer rather. Afaik Vue 6 Esprit should handle .veg exactly as Infinite, right?
I attach the link to this mail, i hope some nice user of the board cvan help me getting it working.
Vivian said its a free program as long as its in beta, so i think its okay to post here.

The program doesn't start, i always get some error message.
Edit: Nevermind, just read that it needs the .net framework 2.0 installed. Vista only came with .net 1.1 so i guess i need to upgrade first.

Sorry Bobby I deleted my post before you replied .... some of the images weren't showing up so I couldn't see I'd got to type the code in the box. I was getting lots of red x's
Thanx anyway :-)

I've never heard of this program - are there examples anywhere, so I can scope it out ?
Thanks :)

@Nicolas_Ciel
Are you sure you linked the right download ?
What's in the zip is very tiny and more than a bit suspicious :glare:

Spysweeper starts to scream that the program tries to link to a know spyware source for the .net update. Had to do a system restore to get rid of the files.

I downloaded the program, extracted it to a folder, ran the exe, get an error message about it not recognizing my display hardware, and then nothing. Does ithe program need to be extracted to a certain folder? I checked all the files with my antivirus and anti spy-and they came up clean.

Won't even show up for me after executing...just resides as a process. Have all the required .NET runtimes, so a bit lost with this.
Says in the readme that he would like E-on to use it as a module...well, he's off to a good start - E-on seem to like bugs ;0)
Ok, I'm being harsh as it is free and beta, but it's about as much use as a chocolate kettle as it stands. Needs a lot of work before it's finished "beta" and I would be prepared to pay for it. The good intentions don't really make up for the bad execution (excuse the pun)!
Cheers

I'm not saying it's the author of the software, it could be the download site, deliberately or through hacking, but something tried to run a chat server on my PC after I installed. The only process running I was suspicious of was FlowerV6.exe, and killing that fixed things.

I'd run a virus/spyware/trojan check just to make sure nothing nasty got left on your machine.

Already did, plus I run ProcessGuard so no process can start without me knowing.
I notice that Nicolas_Ciel has made just one post on these forums, also the link is now broken, 'nough said?

I am locking this thread after complaints about malware infecting the link initially attached to the first post.
I also removed the link to be safe (it is not working anyway at the time I am writing this).
