Prelim sketch for Weekly cover, sorry, mostly photoshop, I don't have a morph for this face.

Ah! The ol' Manchurian Hair! Very nice! You have a great style, very well done. To be honest, when the image started rolling down, I thought it was a mouse. : 0 Coldrake

..yeah, I refer to it as Mickey Mouse hair, but now you've given me a better label. Thanks, any info on the origin of the style, or if it is a style specific to some sort of social identity?

Isn't that Annette?

Anson, I asked Two Swords about this on the thread where he had the new "Chinese" dress he created from the thin strap one I think-I believe it is a traditional Japanese style, altho' I have seen sort of a similar style on one of the traditional African people, but don't remember which area of Africa. I'm hoping Two Swords will respond. Diane

Foxhollow, Who is Annette? The face has no reference source, other than composite memories of various anime images. The hair first drew my interest when I saw it in....virtual fighter? Diane, I'm off to surf for info on the hair, I would be happy to hear any info you learn though. :)

Anson, you are showing your age (or lack of LOL). Annette Funicello (sp?) was one of the original "Mouseketeers" on a Disney show for kids and all the Mouseketeers wore this type Mickey Mouse ears/headgear type thing as I recall. Diane

Annette Funnicello, one of the ORIGINAL Mousketeers, you know, The Mickey Mouse Club. Still doesn't ring a bell? Talk to your parents or go to a library and look under "History." Ha Ha. Just kidding. Thanks very much for sharing this work, BTW. I think it will be very informative and revealing.

(now my color is red) ok, yeah, I've got it now....yeesh, and I was the one who made the first MM comment. I guess my mind doesn't operate in full-Disney that often. :) Anson- 30

Hmm, Pretty good, Anson, although this much Photoshop is almost cheating;) Btw, the hair style isn't japanese, it's chinese. Coldrake isn't all that far off, calling it Manchurian:) Regards Ronin

Don't really remember anything more offhand, I just remember reading about it in a study of Chinese history I did back in school, (a long, long time ago, in a place far away.....) I'll check in my library and see if I can find out an more information. Coldrake
