Now it says no longer available for purchase??? It's a brand new item!

Hopefully they're just fixing something - that looks great!

Yup turns out they aren't available yet, but she put them in her ad. Should be ready by Sunday, hope I still have money then.

Sweet!  I've bookmarked that and will look for it. I love that large braid!

When you see something that says "no longer available"  it's usually because there was a problem with testing and the item was pulled pending a fix, copyright issues where the item cannot be sold, or as you said the merchant jumped the gun.

Thanks for the heads up on this.

There was certainly a problem with the testing on the main item. Anyone else have a problem with the way it is packaged? Mine is not set up for the runtime at all. It unzips to 2 folders Content and readme. If I have unzipped this to my Poser folder the way the readme suggests it would have been wrong. Can't believe no one caught this.

The content unzips to 3 folders Data Hair and Runtime. Under runtime is only textures.  Is this a new way to zip up items?

This is what the readme says but this is not what is happening....

Unpack the package into your Poser installation directory,
and if you allow the use of folders, you will find the files
as follows:

In Poser content browser, you will find the items in:
Figures > AprilYSH > AprilVayneBraid
Pose > AprilYSH > AprilVayneBraid

In your file system (example):
C:Program FilesPoserRuntimeLibrariescharacterAprilYSHAprilVayneBraid
C:Program FilesPoserRuntimeLibrariesPoseAprilYSHAprilVayneBraid
C:Program FilesPoserRuntimeGeometriesAprilYSHAprilVayneBraid
C:Program FilesPoserRuntimetexturesAprilYSHAprilVayneBraid

Oh well, have an email in to the vendor, maybe she can let me know what's up so I can use this product.

Didn't this have two files? One for Poser and one for DAZ Studio? Sounds like you installed the D|S files instead of the Poser files.

Ack she won't be back til the 22nd. Think I figured it out. The other zip must be for Daz Studio users? I unzipped that one first. Sigh rough day.

Ok got it to work and it is well worth the money! Quick render. Now putting aside the money for the expansion.

LOL yes unzipped the wrong one. Been a rough week and not thinking too clearly.  At any rate left a good review because I am extremely happy with it.

Yep, the texture sets are the things still in testing I think (at least I know mine is). She had to head out of town so I think she wanted to make sure they would be listed with the hair before she went. The hair itself is available now -- and is seriously awesome. I cannot say enough good things about this hair. It's really, really flexible and styles beautifully.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye texture.

buy Ali's braid. It's very similar and morphs large like that.

Marque posted Sat, 31 March 2007 at 12:43 AM

Already have Ali's braid like this one because it's further up and a different look. I have a lot of Ali's products...only thing I don't like about them is you have to buy one for each character. Not a problem I guess but I probably won't be buying any more unless they are just too cool to resist. I like a merchant who is willing to add fits for at least the main characters.
