I'm not into typing a lot, so normally wordpad is sufficient for me. But on my laptop I don't have wordpad, not even hidden (I did search).
When I enter wordpad replacement in Google, I'm overwhelmed wirth an app called Jarte, but the interface looks not really trustworthy.

So what would you recommend to replace wordpad? (evt notepad incl.)
