Hy there!
Here is what I do :
- I export the model as .obj (without spaces in name , because otherwise , when used , the character generated upon it , will be invisible right from the start)
- I import the .obj in Poser and with the hierarchy I creater a new character
- I move the new character in the folder I want it (from the New Figures folder , where is always created when using hierarchy)
- I add the character into a new scene from the library
- I resave the character from the scene over the one from the library (the purpose of this procedure is to get the .obj information out from the .cr2 into and .obj file that can be used for referencing of external geometry , this is the only method I know and it's developed by me , maybe you know something better)
- I move the new .obj from the libraries to the geometries and correct the refferences to the .obj from the .cr2 with the new path (two lines of code) , eventualy I rename the new character in the .cr2 with something different than Figure 1
At this point , my character is fully functional , altough it has no groups or joints defined.I can use and texture it.But , if I am adding it to a scene , save the scene , close Poser , open Poser and open that scene again , the character is still there (it can be selected) but it's invisible.
If , I do this instead , open Poser , create a new scene , add the "invisible" character from library to this scene , close this scene and open the scene in wich it is "invisible" , then it shows up!
That is ok , for me , but why should I got through this process each time I try to open a scene that has this character saved in?
It may be because of a high poly count in my character?I have tried with a much lower poly count (20000 versus 114000) and the situation is the same.
I do something wrong in the creation process? And no , my character does not need groups at all , or bones , because it's a weapon.A very detailed one...
Thank you in advance!
Best regards!

This only happens to me with unwelded meshs (Miki). It had to do with the UVs. Rather, running or not running the OBJ through UVmapper. There is no single way to do it properly, imo I'm bmarking for the "invisible" obj. Had that problem
