Any interest in this outifit?

The outfit currently is for Miki (1), since I started it before Miki 2 came out.   I am thinking about doing a version for Miki 2, and possibly V4, etc.  Before I do, I thought I would ask.  Please let me know if this outfit  is of interest to you.   Leather and fur shown are material shaders, and require Poser 6 or 7.

Thanks

Rob

Hiya,

I use Studio so the fur setting would be moot for me.

I have Miki 2 and V4.  The outfit is cute enough but not sure about the heavy boots with the rest being so skimpy!  Kinda different looking!  Are you going to be including any of the default morphs that eF includes with Miki 2 like Ectomorph, etc......  ??

Thanks

Richard ;-)~

Hi Richard,

Thank you for your reply.

The outfit is a revisit of the clothing I made for Savana in the RMP.    That was over a year ago, and was for V3.   I actually started the Miki outfit at that time, but had to put everything on hold.  Trying to pick up where I left off.

The clothing is uvmapped and works well with seamless tiles, for those who do not have textures.  I am not really a texture maker, so I tend to go the tile route when possible.   The shaders give good results, and also make it possible to get a more realistic like fur.   It is unfortunately that D/S does not as yet support procedural shaders.

In the past, I have always tried to include the morphs that come with a figure - or are popularly used on a figure, if purchased must be separately, such as V3 and Full Body Morphs, etc.

I also generally include morphs to aid in posing the clothing in a somewhat more real world manner.  For example, the front of the top can be untied and open.   The front and back flap on the pants have morphs to help move up and down, side to side, etc.   The boots have morphs to adjust the length, and even a flop morph for when you want to use them alone in a scene, as just lying around, etc.

I had not really thought of the boots being too heavy for the outfit.  I suppose it would be possible to hide the shin and make a morph that would fit the foot part of the boot closer to the ankle, to convert them into moccasins (sp?) for those who may want something along that line.

Cool, thanks for the nice note.  Miki 2 really needs some lovin' but V4's stuff sells better.  Up to you how you would want to proceed in that way.  The new options for the boots sounds really nice too! 😄

It's not really a problem doing a version for V4 or other figures, but if there is not really any interest by enough people to make it worth doing, then I'll probably scrap the project.

I definitely think you should follow it through. I sent you an email... :)

I love the one for V3 so I for sure want this for V4 and the G2 girls. :-)

Hi gypsyangel and kayjay97,

Thanks for the reply.    :O)

I like the outfit, and since I do not seem to be completely alone there, I will get back to work on this.

What I am considering doing is releasing the clothing for each figure (miki 1 & 2 will probably be combined) as a basic, inexpensive clothing pak, with limited shaders or textures included.

I have been working on some new leather and fur shaders that could be used with the clothing, or applied to other things as well (nice thing about shaders).   This would be an expansion pak.

I can include some simple texture tiles with Mats for D/S and Poser 4 users somewhere in there as well.

Also maybe a pak with some primitive style props, things like knife, spear, bow, etc., depending on how things progress.

This way, folks can buy only what they want cheap.  (I am thinking around $6 dollar price range)  Some items mentioned may even be offered as  free stuff.
