Greetings!

I'm starting this thread because there's been some interest in obtaining a freebie of my espresso cup. I'm in the process of setting up my web server for downloading the freebie, but I thought to give everyone a heads up about it.

The expresso cup will consists of several models: (from bottom to top) the cup base, the cup, liquid part, foam layer 1, foam layer 2.

Note though, the top (foam layer 2) has an error with the mesh.. there's a hollow gap inside it and from one side. Not really a problem, but since it's the same one I used in my renders I'm including it. The top part of the mesh is okay, and that's the visible part everyone gets to see.

Second foam layer down, the mesh is okay. It's got a raised rim.

I don't think I'm going to includes the foam mats. They aren't perfected yet. Instead I would like to do a tutorial of how I do it. It's really easy, though. The ceramic mat I will make available, though.

I would also like to include as another freebie: my coffeebean. It's only one model, but would like to do three or four more, just to make some variety.

I'm in the process of modeling appropriate fork, knife, spoon, the plastic disposible kinds often found in a coffee shop.

hrm....I don't find the render with the fork in my laptop, so it must be back home. Drats!

Just a black ceramic b/c I have it here and no one is going to see it unless it's posted :-p

Okay okay, i'll include that too. Not the foam mat, just the object. ;-)

Looks great!! The cup design is beautiful and the mats, especially the foam, are very convincing.

Great job hon....loved the foam.  You can include some real espresso in the download :)

Awwww, I thought the foam mat was excellent!

Nice to know the rest of it will be available - and I do like the idea of the tutorial - not that I can access any foam to use in such a tutorial, but still....

Just posting an update. Still working on getting the cup for everyone. Putting some textures together and then have one last part to do... database thing to keep track how popular the cup and stuff is.

Oh, there's also coffee beans and the disposible plastic forks you find in a typical coffee shop. Spoons and knife later.

With - of course - a chocolate flake on the side of the saucer, melting fast!
