what exactly does trueplace software do on one's computer? I had True space installed before and it messed my registry up and never uninstalled the entries and it took me many minutes to delete manually

it's the Caligari version of Second Life, as in talking to others, exploring a virtual world, but goes further. allowing those with trueSpace 7+ to work with other artists in real time on the same model.

i keep getting emails from them showing me new stuff/versions they have as i downloaded a demo once,(don't think i ever had a play with it though) it looks like great software but i get a bit put off by the fact that they first try to sell it to me full price, but if i ignore that they then offer me it at about a tenth of the price!!! which just seems strange as i now know if i'm interested in getting it then just wait three months and it'll be a fraction of the price they first asked for it!!
