Attached Link: Bryce 6.1.13.1 post
The 6.1.13.1 update is out, Mac and PC. It's found by reseting your Bryce 6.0 in the Order History. The only thing that's changed is the app itself. Downloading now so I'm not sure of all the changes but the post below lists the following: Mac Tree Lab fixes where default tree could not be modified at all PNG image export from Terrain Editor now exports as PNG instead of MOV 6.0 changed to 6.1 in header bar and Help > About Best; DanVictoria_Lee posted Fri, 20 April 2007 at 7:42 PM

All you need to do is download the Bryce 6.0 application file. It's been updated to 6.1.13.1 and that will show after the app is reinstalled. Just install it over your current Bryce app.

OKay here is what is going on ... I got 6 and I got 6.1 ... now the new install made my 6 into 6.1 but with no contents at all..... none.. blank....
So, now I got two separate programs.. the old updated 6.1 with my contents and my new install 6 that says it is 6.1 at the start of the program and no contents.... BTW,, the numbers 6.1.13.1 appears no where... I tried to install over my 6.1 and it wont...
History:
In the pass I had deleted my old 5, 5.5 but kept the content which went to 6 then I updated last month to 6.1.. had little contents in it.. But I imported more content from my older versions stuff...
can you help....

You should always make a backup copy of your presets just in case....

According to DAZ, you don't need to instal this to a separate directory, just install over your existing Bryce application, which shouldn't have removed the content since this is just an application update.

When you install the update, make sure you change the default pathname the installer shows to the one where your Bryce 6.1 is installed.
Once 6.1 is installed, you should not have a separate copy of B6 installed on your machine. They don't play well together.
To see the version installed, you should see Bryce 6.1 in the header bar at the top of the program and when you press Cmd/Ctrl and choose Help > About from the Menu Bar, the popup will show version 6.1.13.1.

The installer wouldd not accept to install into my existing 6.1. so I delete and kept the last update and not the new 6.1.13.1... I think I might have to delete all and start with just 6.0... then install the 6.1.13.1 on top of it...

hmm wonder if this update fixes the difuse default color prob im having with obj files (my obj import black.)
Also still pestered by the i/o bad file flyout when importing 3ds with assigned textures/maps
i repote this too the daz bug forum it was supposedly fixed but not for me.
Plus click help>about flyout says bryce 6.0 on my 6.1 upgrade
Death_at_Midnight posted Wed, 25 April 2007 at 6:46 PM
What has been fixed in this update? I've downloaded it, haven't installed it.
dan whiteside posted Wed, 25 April 2007 at 7:34 PM
A3DLover - black .OBJ import, not fixed. Mac and PC. According to the posts at the DAZ Bryce Forum this is a conflict between the .OBJ importer and D|S animation when the .MTL file does not reference any image files. I'm glad I kept 6.0 since that imports correctly. 5.5C also works. Both versions save correctly and can be loaded into 6.1. I still can't load any .3ds files on my Intel Mac. D@M - PC right? as far as I can tell just is the exporting of terrain grayscale images is fixed.

I usualy dont upgrade unless it fixes something that affects what I need to do with the software.
Like the Animating problem.
Death_at_Midnight posted Wed, 25 April 2007 at 7:47 PM
PC, correct. Thanks!
A3DLover posted Wed, 25 April 2007 at 9:43 PM
Thanks Dan,
@Analogue_x- Yeah after i upgraded to 6.1 i built this scene before setting keyframe rate and opening the animation and everything reverted to default!
All the mats were gone all the positioning the sky settings i was blown away
now i know to set that up before moving anything.

**Ok I had a painless update. I only had two user presets and they stayed put.
The bryce starfields are as unimpressive as they always were. Back to using skydomes.**

Except for updates to the IBL Tab, no changes were made to the Sky Lab, including the starfields.
