I'm sure I once saw a model of a modern military mortar as a Poser freebie, but I wasn't able to find it. So I made my own. Nothing all that specific in the details, though most resembling the British 3-inch. I even made some sort of sight. Anyway, good enough, I reckoned, but was I wasting my time?

No you weren't.
While I'm sure I've come across a Mortar on a Japanese site, variety/choice is always a good thing.

The other  mortar is found at this site (go to freestuff, then nr 12) :

Very different ,  so your model is certainly not a waste of time.
