Like the title said. I'll bring an OBJ in, add it to the prop library, and run it in the cloth sim. (Sometimes just trying it with an OBJ file)
All that happens is the object/prop stays still, refuses to drape, although the 10 drape frames I tell it to do don't stop at 10. It just carries on forever. I have told it to collide with the ground, so it's not that.
Dynamic clothes I have downloaded work fine, and do what they're told, even though I change nothing in the simulation settings.
I was under the impression all OBJ files were able to be clothified, either native or made into props. Can anyone help me with this?

Show an image of the .obj that you are trying to use. It would be much easier so see what you are doing.

Looks to me like those are 2 sided poly. I take it these were conforming clothes that you want to convert to dynamic. 2 sided poly gives poser a hard time.
You can use the grouping tool to select all the outside polies and spawn a new prop or one of the free modeling programs. Then run it through the cloth room.
I have never had very good luck with 2 sided poly figures.

How did it do that? Have you tried a modeler? I have a tutorial on doing this here in the poser forum using the Free modeler Wings3d. I will see if I can find it for you.

That dress looks like the Abyssal Queen one from Daz.
It's possible in Poser 6's cloth room to work with conforming items and make them "hybrids". See the above thread for a discussion on this using the Anton's Morphing Fantasy Dress as an example. You could probably do the same thing with the Abyssal Queen skirt.
The top / jacket however you would have to either leave confroming, which isn't a bad thing...or use the tutorial posted above and convert it to a dynamic piece.

Don't know why it jammed the program, I'd just select a few polygons and it freaks it out. Thank you both for the links, too.
I also have 3DS Max, do you think there's a way to get rid of the inside polygons there? Or even a quicker way of selecting them on Wings? Sounds whingy, but selecting them one by one on high poly count clothing is just getting rediculous.
