I'm looking for lab equipment that'd fit into a more futuristic "Top Secret Research" type atmosphere as well as lab coats for the V3, M3 character.

beekers, test tubes, burners, microscopes, eye droppers, slides, petry dishes, vials, chemical jars - etc.

Anyone know where i can find em?

Thanks again!!

Thanks ... i was thinking more along the lines of just the props b/c Stonemason's Sector 15 would work perfectly .. unless we could convince him or Bar-Code to whip up a Top Secret Lab setting. LOL.

I wouldn't mind one of those myself. :)

A secret lab complete with a mad scientist.

There's some free lab things in Poser freestuff but not enough.

Here are several lab props. I think I have a mad scientist lab in my runtimes also. I'll try to track it down and see where I downloaded it.

Thanks Mystic - I grabbed all but the labcoat (b/c I don't own Judy) and the last two I already had. LOL. Now I just need a labcoat for V3 and/or M3 and I might just be set.

You could try Judy's labcoat to tweak it to V3.

kathym posted Sun, 29 April 2007 at 4:02 AM

I tried. Couldn't get it to fit or bend right. :(

Yes, I had similar problems... and would still love to find a lab coat that would work for V3, M3, V4 or such (OR could be converted successfully using WW or by going dynamic).  Still looking...

Dajadues posted Sun, 29 April 2007 at 4:18 PM

Bummer. Must be because it's not a conforming item.

You could try a long coat or a smock for V3 and just change the texture to white?

A smock would work or a blazer jacket?

Mystic-Nights posted Sun, 29 April 2007 at 7:46 PM

Poserworld has a labcoat for David and M3

ClawShrimp posted Sun, 29 April 2007 at 8:49 PM

The labcoat can be scaled to fit close enough and converted to a dynamic cloth piece.

I'm glad I checked here because that's exactly what I need.

If we can hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominos will fall like a house of cards...checkmate!

Looks like you have to pay for a membership there. Am I wrong?

Mystic-Nights posted Mon, 30 April 2007 at 6:21 AM

They have a membership that allows you to download all their products. They also have a store where I think you can buy individual items.

Dajadues posted Mon, 30 April 2007 at 7:48 AM

How much does it cost to join?? Do I dare ask? ;)
I'm cheap I like freebies lol.

But would a M3 item fit V3? I don't think it would without a lot of tweaking to conform.
I'm not keen on dynamic stuff myself.

Try 65 or 175 bucks to join .. 175 is a life time membership. I remember when they use to be free.

Whoa. I can't afford that right now that would be my entire paycheck heh. Ouch.

BatLab had a nice dynamic LabCoat awhile back. It was a Limited item. I kick myself because I didn't download it.  :(

Seems we're all looking for these rare items. Wish I knew how to make one. I'd give it  away.

deathwish01b posted Fri, 04 May 2007 at 2:36 AM

DAZ's Site has a clothing converter in its store that supposedly can convert clothes from one figure to another, or to morphed figures.  I haven't bought it yet myself.  I keep finding other things I want before I have enough saved to get it LOL.

Hello Kathy!

With respect to your question concerning basic lab equipment ( beekers, test tubes, burners, microscopes, eye droppers, slides, petry dishes, vials, chemical jars - etc.) I have been meaning to upload, as freebies, a set of accurately detailed laboratory glassware models, ( hopefully complete with functional setups for various synthetic procedures ) for some time now.

What I currently have modeled can be viewed in these two images:

http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=838969
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1192621

-and include such items as a classic Ainsworth analytical balance, 3-neck flask, Leibig condenser, seperatory funnel, ringstands, test tube rack, etc.

If these are of interest to you, let me know and I'll try to get on with trying to get them online ( though it may still be awhile, as I'm currently getting resettled into a new apartment, with my main work computers still torn down ). These were modelled in trueSpace, but I can export them as untextured obj files.

Well, this is a freebie forum afterall not sure why people keep mentioning paid sites where you have to buy this or that. I live on a small paycheck, no can do. Can't help but wonder what's in it for people to mention subscriptions & such not everyone call afford it.

Free is the key word here not pay for upgrades just to download a weekly freebie nor is a subscrption a freebie either.
