Attached Link: Bryce Librarie - Street Pack by Pidjy

Hey my friends howdy? :-p

Got something 4 u all,  the Street Pack, perfect for old looking streets. It's based on photo-realistic textures and elevation maps. The pictures used 4 the textures and map are taken with a digital camera and it's located in Paris...

The link for the downbload is available till May 7 (obp)

Here are some pic of the differents parts available in this pack.

Thanks Pidjy !
Those look awesome, absolutely awesome! I got to visit Paris a yr and a half ago and loved it. If I ever get to return, I'm going to take lots of pictures of the doors and ironworks around the city. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough camera space to do it the last time I was there. I had to use that for the normal tourist pictures.
These parts you've made look so good, Thanks again.

Anyone got any ideas or links to buildings that look like this so I might get an idea of what type of roof it should have? I'm clueless.
Thanks

Ang,
Not sure but I think you could get away with any fairly old looking roof, after all roofs get changed more than the walls of old buildings do.

I have some old roof tiles in a texture, located here:

That might help.  I have been told thay may be late Edwardian/Early Victorian, but I'm attempting to check up on that.

Thanks Fran, I'll look into them after work. I was also checking out my photos from my trip and came across some stone buildings in them. Now I just have to figure out how to make and attach and texture one, lol. Always something to do.

Another source for some quick references is to check out plastic modeling magazines. They tend to have a lot about diorama's and European buildings.

Thank you very much for the freebies..

Now! Can I be cheeky and ask if there is a chance of a tutorial on how to do this?I've played about with Bryce terrains before trying to make buildings but had so little success that I'd love to know how you got such good results..

pidjy posted Tue, 01 May 2007 at 5:10 PM

I've made tuts a long time ago.. the secret to get that result is : Take some good pictures of real buildings .. and knowing exactly how elevation maps interact with Terrain editor

you need buildings?.. I got some amazing european buildings if you want...

just let me know

Oh, just realised I never said - Pidjy, your street is painfully excellent, I'm looking at my own efforts and yours and crying into my soup.
