If this is using the Firefly render engine, set Texture Filtering to On

No - do not set texture filtering on.
You must change render settings.
Set Min Shading Rate to .2, and Pixel Samples to 5 for highest resolution rendering.
Also, make sure that your Max texture size is not reducing the image resolution. If you have it at 256 or something, then even if you have a 4K by 4K texture image, you effectively only have a 256 by 256 image - which is blurry. You want 1K to 4K on that setting for high-res closeup work. Make sure after you change it that you "Reload textures" if you have "Keep textures loaded" turned on. Otherwise, the texture last loaded (and shrunk down) will still be there.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
