Hello All
I have searched the tutorials and did a search in the forums for a tut on texturing clothing and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for, is it possible that someone can help me out with this. I have a few templates for some outfits that I want to texture. Is there a specfic way of doing this other than just coloring it in?
Thanks

No... coloring it in pretty much the way to do it...
But the amount of detail and quality makes the diffrence between the textures..
If you have templates .. its more easy ..but you have to figure out what is what in the templates
A program that can handle layers like photoshop/PSPro is great to work in detail
there is a Free one called GIMP .. that handles layers too..
And then its try and error and learn ..just read ALL tuts you can find there is always a little bit of help in all of them...

The tie, buttons, and jacket were all done with procedures - no images were used.
I have a Python script that can generate quite complex and realistic woven materials like these.
Let me know if you want to learn more about this technique. However, it is not for the fainthearted! You have to be willing to do advanced work in the material room.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Thanks guys for answering my questions. bagginsbill I would love to learn more about your technique. Does it matter which version of poser I'm using. I have both poser 5 & 6 but I'm only using version 5 right now.

colorfulsilk,
I haven't forgotten you. I've just been really busy with work and other Poser projects.
Go to Runtimedna.com - look in the Node Cult forum. Search for "loom". This will give you something to read and look at until I have more time to explain how to get started.
