Does anybody know how to animate materials in Bryce 6, like maybe water for instance???????????????????????????????????????????????????

bryce procedurals can be animated - any slider in materials lab and DTE can be moved each frame.

I think Peter Sharp or Robin Wood have a tut on animating water. You could also try a Google search.

Material animation was broken in Bryce 6 and I don't think it was fixed in 6.1, certainly not fixed in 6.1 Mac.

This type of animation is broken in Bryce 6.1
I have a ticket opened regarding this issue.

If you open "C:/Program/Files/DAZ/Bryce/6.1/Docs/Bryce61_KnownIssues.htm" scrolling down you will find the following text.
"When animating keyframes in the different labs, applying keyframes to all timelines does not apply the keyframes to the main timeline. There is not workaround at present. Affected versions: All."
That pretty much describes the problem. Since the keyframes are not applied, changes in the material lab dont take effect and the end result is no animation is done.

Hmmm, Bryce 5 is still free, and materials animation works fine there.
"When animating keyframes in the different labs, applying keyframes to all timelines does not apply the keyframes to the main timeline. There is not workaround at present. Affected versions: All.
Does this mean that animation keyframes won't work in any lab, including the terrain/lattice editor? The reason I ask is that I was going to suggest a workaround animating a terrain instead.

I created an Animation of water rippling in a swimming pool in Bryce 5.0 and it worked just fine. I saved the bryce file and loaded it into Bryce 6.1 and it did not animate it.

I just bought Bryce 6. Very dissappointed in the broken materials animation "feature", which was not disclosed in Daz's ads. I'm boycotting Daz until they fix this.
