Okay, this is gonna sound weird, but has anyone noticed that when you render objects that you also create the alpha mask to composite later, there is a 1 pixel "fringe" around the object?
Or am I the only one coming across this?

I have not noticed that, but I do notice the entire plane can be seen with the transparancy and all in some lighting conditions and it is Quite a few of the preset skies that show it!!!

I've noticed this. I composited the video in AE by using the screen mode and just left the alpha made by vue out of the composition. When it comes to Vue, is is always something not working as planned.

I haven't noticed this. I use Vue masks in Photoshop, and I don't have any issues. But if there is a problem for compositing in AE, I strongly suggest to tell e-on's tech support about it, It's an important feature of Vue Infinite that should work as advertized.

Now that I think about it, it was probably something I was doing wrong.

As the saying goes, 99% of the time the problem lies between the chair and the keyboard, but I can't figure out what I might be doing wrong.
I'm telling it to make masks, and there's always just 1 pixel extra - in PS I just Ctrl+Click the thumb to load selection, then Contract 1 pixel and delete outside pixels - it's a quick fix that works, but I'd rather not have to do it.

thundering1, does it happen with any object? I often use the masks for imported Poser hair that use transmaps, and I often have to shrink the selection too, but this is due to the trasparency function. When I do it on non semi-transparent objects, I have no problems.
