I just found a Renderosity profile on MySpace. it's more a stub than an active page. I'm a little surprised that the friends are mostly bands. I know that there are a few Rendo mods on MySpace and they aren't members, so the page isn't even being advertised well within the staff, let alone the Poser community.

I was surprised to find it there, but nobody has logged in for almost a couple weeks and it probably hasn't been there for much more than a month or so.

I think I may need to reconsider my stance about "My Space"  :)

This is Jerry Scott. I found his space through Rudy Sarzo's one.   drools

So far as the Renderosity one goes, it must be a particular person because the age is "22 years" and "female".

Is that an "official" rendo site?

I'm thinking that it's sort of an official site. By that, I think that it was set up by somebody officially involved here, but that it's not yet intended to officially be an active endorsed site. It could simply be a matter of reserving the name before somebody else snatches it up (unless somebody already did).

From what I've seen of fake profiles, they tend to seek recognition fairly quickly because having lots of friends tends to lend the appearance of legitimacy. A Jessica Alba fake page with 14 friends is not going to fool anybody, but a fake with thousands of friends could make a fake look real.
