This may have been asked before but does anyone know how to make Poser 5 run with windows vista?  I have the program loaded but it locks everytime I try to open a library within poser.  Thanks for any hep.

Poser 5 i dont know.....but Poser 7 freezes sometimes . whit Vista.
I reinstalled Vista again because i really had trouble whit this OS in another things.

Look, when even Microsoft's own employees switch back to XP, you know its crap.   And Leo Laporte (a highly respected computer tech reporter) warns of moving to it.  Remember Windows ME - well this is the latest incarnation.  I know that it is hard to avoid this since almost ALL new pre-built systems now have Vista pre-installed but I'd do everything to do so.  In fact, I did.  My new dual-core laptop was only going to swap hands with my money if it had XP Pro and not Vista. :)

If at all possible, find a copy of XP to install and put Vista aside for about one to two years - when M$ will either have moved on to a real OS or have patched the bejeezus out of Vista to make it less than hobbled.

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

koruyome i agree whit you. Vista is crap. I removed it after 2 days from my PC. Waste my money ( i buyed a copy. ) but now i am smarter. LOL  Expensive lesson.

Have you tried the run as XP mode a lot of the time it got to do with the open GL drivers.
