Subject: Shooting Monochrome RAW?

SO, last night i decided to do a personal first and set the camera to monochrome because i knew i wasnt going to want the shot in colour and thus processing would be easier (somehow - i remember someone saying in the B&W thread that sometimes if you are shooting a lot of shots which you know are ging into black and white it is a good idea to just shoot in B&W). Also i thought that the RAW files would be smaller in B&W... but no - the RAW files are complete in colour (and as i shoot only in RAW these days i have only the raw files to deal with).

I suppose i have more control over the final look of the image now which is good (i realised i would be sacrificing that with a monochrome camera output).  But yeah - just to pass on the tidbit of info and my surprise at the outcome... RAW really is RAW even if you dont want it to be ;)
