Oh Thank You Kort and thanx to Ilona for a little "push" to do so.  I think Orchids is a queen of flowers so mesmerizing in colors and sizes. (shame on me I have not one....I might do something about it...seeya at a local nursery...lol)

Nice one Raj. I thought that there might be a few more gentlemen about who would take me up on this chance to give the ladies a flower (any flower) but I guess Raj and I are the only softies. ;'P Here is an orchid in IR -- just because.

Beautiful as it is the second shot you posted looks rather like a light bulb smashing caught on a high speed cam  :)

We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'

Hmmmmmmm are we still doing flowers ? That looks rather alien to me still never mind I can do purple too,  a bunch of violets for the ladies.  Not quite like the ones in the song  you know that song surely:

"I am just an old fashioned girl,
Voilets are for me.
Have them made in diamonds
By a man at Tiffany "

I didn't think of them as alien, but I guess you could. I suppose I am just used to tropical vegetation. I can do alien all day long buddy! ;'] Here is another red alien (ginger?)
