I am completely new to this, trying to follow a tutorial - he says he maid it with 3ds but that it should translate to any modeling program.  So I want to try it with Carrara to start.  Im just learning and trying to choose between carrara and silo - well I see lathe and and fillet and alot of other things here in carrara but I don't see the word "slice" anywhere.  

can someone tell me what tool - "slice" translates to in carrara
