What ever modeling app you are comfortable in using, The same with UVMapping, what ever app in that you prefer to use. Texture maps are made the same way as body maps in what ever 2d/paint software you use with the uv template that you made.. Also some will use photos of real hair to layer onto the template or there are a couple of ways to make fake hair in your paint app to layer onto the template.
Simple answer.LOL

Thanx. I just thought there was a program specifically for poser. I guess i could start with lightwave3d, which i have. I'm searching for a decent hair style, combed straight back with a long pony tail, unlike the ones i've seen.

You can create dynamic hair and dymanic hairstyles inside of poser Hair room.

Yep, the dynamic hair works and can be saved. Also other programs can read it when imported in a PZ3/PZZ. Such as Vue and Carrara.
I thought the question refered to modeling. My bad.

is there anything i would need when start to create dynamic hair? i know it takes longer to render than prop hair but thats not a problem if it's going to look like real hair.

Patience practice. Try Dr Geeps dynamic hair tutorial. I think it's in the Poser5 tutorial section.Paloth posted Tue, 12 June 2007 at 11:18 PM
