Wasn't Hawkfyr supposed to be doing a Comment type column...Only ever saw the intro piece and been looking out for it ever since with no luck. Anyone tried IM/e mailing these funny dudes, maybe they're off at a comedy convention, heh heh heh.. ...

I've always tried to be as honest as I can..

I've been in Jail.

Long story that I don't really feel like going into now.

Made Bail...out for now...awaiting court date (Aug 23).

We'll see what happens then.

My apologies to the Rosity Staff as well as my friends.

There ya go...like it or not...this is me.

Welcome back :)  You should have claimed "claustrophobia" like PH did. You could have been out in 24 hours no questions asked :)  Hope your court date goes well.

Thanks Arcadia.

It took "Ten"hours" to process me , then right into GP (General Population)...couldn't claim claustrophobia...had to wait for Bond hearing...believe me...down here...you can get lost in the system and spend weeks before the bring you before a judge or magistrate.

Complaining only makes it worse...finally, I got released unsecured on a $5000,00 bond.

For real...down here in the south...they really don't give a S*hit...everyone is guilty until proven innocent.

Bogus charge...kicked a few asses, and got mine kicked as well...it's just the way it is down here.

That's what my friend who lives in Memphis told me. He had a couple of run ins with the law and he was treated like a convicted criminal from the get go.

Re: thefixer,

Thanks Vince, I'm optimistic of the outcome of all of this.( Never be over confident when it comes to legal matters...anything can happen in a court room)

Paris and I were actually shackled together during processing. Naturally...her anklet was made of engraved gold, with diamond studs, while mine was some sorta rusty metal left over from the inquisition...It was my hope,at first, that I'd be doing my time at the "Hilton", but it didn't happen...After giving it more thought, I realized that "Doing Time" with Paris, (No matter where) would have been far worse than what I endured in Jail.

Thanks again Amigo.

I'm just now reading this, too.  Good luck on Thursday, man.

And, to make you feel better (because you get to laugh at me being an idiot), I'll tell you the story of my first trip to jail.

My friend got a permit to burn garbage in his yard, and the garbage was a ruined couch.  So, we burned it in the front yard (the house had no backyard.  well, 2 feet from the house was the fence, separating the property behind it.).  No big, right?  Well, it happened to be a college town.  And late at night.  People in nearby houses (some of them frat houses) decided that it was a bonfire, and came by.  Drunk people happened, havoc ensued, fights started, cars got turned over............cops were called.  Myself and 5 male friends were arrested, as I actually started the fire (don't as me how 5 guys can't start a fire without burning themselves.  I have no clue), and the others lived at the place.

So, I'm sent into holding, in a holding cell with 7 other women; 5 very hardened prostitutes, a drunk woman 1/2 missing the toilet with her vomit, and a woman insisting that she'd hidden a blade, so I shouldn't start any sh*t.

2 hours later, the cops decide that what we'd done was by the books, we had no control over the local drunken populace, and we could go home.  So, I'm reunited with the guys.
"Oh, man!" one of them says.  "That was the scariest thing that ever happened to me!!"
"Oh, yeah?" I ask.  "What kind of people did you have in your cell?"
"Oh, it was just the five of us, but, man, I was totally scared!!"
At this, I was a bit pissed.
"YOU were scared?  I was in there with 5 scary prostitutes, a puking drunk, and a scary-ass bald lady who wanted to cut me.  You're idiots!!"

So, yeah, there was my first-ever (not last-ever) trip to jail.  Oh, btw, I was 17 at the time.  With no I.D. on me. All kinds of fun :P

I'm doing a lot better now.... things were really rough for a while, but, as you say, sometimes good things following the bad things. I've got a girlfriend now that is much more supportive and who likes having an equitable relationship, I have a better job now (I'm working for a health care company now, so I'm a little more insulated from the rough economy) and life is generally a little rosier.

Hope things pick up for you, too... being out of work is never fun.
