I think Shade is applicable to that, though I'm sure there are also others.

Any 3d modeling program that can export to .obj.  There are many to choose from at various price ranges. There are even some pretty good free ones out there. Wings 3D comes to mind as a pretty capable freeware modeler.

Wings, or Hexagon, or Silo, up to the high end programs like Maya, Max or Cinema 4D.
My particular combo is Hexagon and Max.
For starters you can use just hexagon, it will do everything you need - till you get to more advanced levels.

I think Hexagon is still on sale at Daz3D

V4, was modeled in Modo.

I currently use C4D but once ya get any main 3D app you can run any of them.

That's essentially true. The underlying principles of 3D modeling are the same, regardless of what software you ultimately choose to use. Learning these basic principles is the main thing. (i.e. How a 3D model is constructed) - Applying those same principles in any capable modeling program is merely a matter of learning the user interface for that particular program.

Not sure how many 3D App's have German versions.

But since it would be easier to learn 3D in ya native language.

C4D's made in Germany.
