Okay, I thought this would be kind of a fun thing to do.....and helpful to anyone considering a macro lens of any kind.
Post your cool macro photos that you've taken with a macro lens....and be sure to say what kind of lens it was. :)
Hopefully this works. If not, well, I tried. :P I'd start it off, but I don't have a macro lens yet.....so when I pick one out, I'll add a shot to this thread. :)
Sound good?? :)

Thanks you guys! Those are some beautiful images. I did take a look at Mayda's gallery and some amazing stuff there, too. :)

Wonderful floral macros Akemi and neat nugget there Tunde. I agree, Mayda is a master at them. A suggestion would be to look in the macro category, find images you like and contact the artists about what gear they use.

Thank you Joe! I actually did find that a little while after I posted this. They do have some amazing examples. I have it narrowed down to 2 possible lenses, the canon 100mm or the canon mp-e 65mm. Now, I do realize the 65mm one is a specialty lens. But I think to photograph mold growing on a gape, this might be what I need. If I can get just as close and sharp (or close to it) with the 100mm, I'd get that one since it can also do other types of shots. But now I see the possible need for a flash ring as well. sigh I don't think my local camera store carries the mp-e 65. If they did I'd go test them out. I may go in tomorrow to see what they have that I can test out.
Anyway, thank you again. I don't beling to pbase, so I can't ask any questions on how they did some of that amazing work, but I might do it here. :)
