I'm looking for some sort of effect i can apply to my images to make them look like they are on a video screen.

preferably something easy to do with PaintShop pro.

I know this isnt real specific but im not totaly sure what im looking for. I know ive seen some with horizontal lines thought it that looked good but i dont know an easy way to do such a thing.

i'd also like to know if anyone has suggestions for an image with bad reception.

In PSP, you can add the interference with the Adjust...Add/remove noise...Add Noise feature. Use Gausian, Monochrome, 25% as a starting point, but adjust those settings until you get the effect you are looking for.

For the Horizontal Scan Lines, use: Effects...Texture Effects...Blinds. Check Horizontal, Light from left/top. and make the color black.  Width 2, Opacity 25%. As with the noise, you can fiddle with those settings until you find what you want.

There are probably other things you could fiddle with to degrade the image, so if the basic method above is still missing something, you'll have to experiment with other adjustments and effects. :)

Free plugin.  Works in Paint Shop Pro.

Disable the feedback and scan color options, then play with the signal noise and raster settings until you get results you like.
