Yes, the headings selected fade, this should be the opposite as i now have to search for the forum/thread etc that i read. It would also hate to be colour blind, you wouldnt tell the difference! Make em another colour or something!

Is your monitor properly calibrated?

*"Is your monitor properly calibrated?"
No. Naughty of me I know Ofthepast but m*y old peice of @##$$%% would keel over if I tried to resize the screen I think, much less do anything technical.
I am refering to the differences between old and new R'osity screens though, and the calibration has stayed the same so the difficulties are within the same 'spectrum' as the old colours (if that makes sense???).

Well, the site is readable for me. It seems to be people's calibration (mainly gamma setting, I guess) that is the issue.

Yes mine is calibrated, but still hard on the eyes!

I'm using a brand new Dell Ultra Sharp 20" LCD. Doesn't get much more calibrated than that. Calibration has nothing to do with it. Look at the screen in black and white. You'll see it is still hard to read. Basic design principles are at work here. I heard the Renderosity members voted on the new design. This is what you get when you design by committee. This is also a good example of people making suggestions for improvement and 'management' digging in to defend a decision. I don't visit Renderosity nearly as much anymore. I'm guessing I'm not alone.

I'm really new here (today) and i find the color scheme a bit odd but readable. In Safari, which renders the type bolder in XP, the text is not so readable...looks muddy, which is usually not the case for most websites (Safari makes them look better). What is interesting is there is no scheme change like many other CMS systems, and then the user could just pick a color scheme! Oh, well, ya can't beat the content however...

I find the new colors much easier to read, and I'm half blind.

I dont know, the white on blue, especially the lighter blue "ever other "post is more difficult
