how do you take a screen shot of a Poser screen? Inquiring (but humble) minds want to know.

I guess the old school "print screen" key then paste into paint etc. would work fine... easiest way to do a screen cap...

Make sure your camera is square-on to the screen. Turn off all room lights and draw the curtains. Underexpose by about a stop. Use a longish focal length.

I just prt-screen key, and the very handy alt+prt-screen (only gets topmost window, saves a lot of cropping)

PSP 7's screen capture is brilliant. You can decide there & then what part of the screen you want to capture.

are you talking about screen print or are you talking about rendering to post in the gallerys
lesbentley posted Tue, 24 July 2007 at 1:56 PM
On a PC? As has been said already, if you want a screen capture then use the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard for the whole screen, or ALT + Print Screen for the active window, then Paste into a paint program.
If on the other hand you want to save the contents of your Document Window (your scene), from the menu bar do; File > Export > Image.

Thank you all for your responses. I just wanted to capture a snapshot of the whole poser screen that includes all the document window and all the palettes so that I could portray a poser figure using poser. Sort of like that guy that used Blender to make a render of a actual blender next to a screen shot of Blender (or something like that.). I hope that was not too trivial for you all.

Yes it was. You have offended the Forum Gods. Please make amends by posing a question of deep meaning, such as "Is Truth Beauty, and is Beauty Truth?", "If Poser 7 crashes to desktop when nobody is using it, has it really crashed?" or the perennial favourite, "Who has the best boobs, Vicki 3 or 4?"

Or how about, if a tree falls down in the middle of a forest but no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
This is one of those yes & no answers. People look at you strange though when you ask it, they think of course it makes a sound! Think about it though.

You know, this forum has a very good and happy atmosphere. The moderators are to be commended for keeping it that way.
Yes, Stormchaser, that's exactly what I wanted, but not I do not have Paint Shop Pro. I do, however, have Photoshop Elements 2.0.
