But...doesn't a wizzards staff have a knob on it?  And I thought a hedgehog could never be buggered...at least that's what Nanny says...  ;-}

The key to reflections is the amount of blur and distance falloff. Nothing, including a mirror, has a razor sharp reflection. This is especially apparent in the office photo above.

jj - Do what I do & pretend, it keeps them amused.

I think an ordinary mirror has 80% reflection.

Well..... I -could- explain.... But the visual imagery left behind would run a significant risk of damaging your higher cognitive abilities....or at least your appetite.....

Stormtracer.. the reflections on the boots may or may not be photo-realistically applied, but they are applied artistically. They draw the eye in a specific pattern that works. There is enough realism in the face and skin to make the image believable. This is great use of reflection, and fits the style of the render. Now I want bagginsbill's floors. No matter how much I mop and dust, the only thing I ever see in mine are little 4-toed footyprints and hacked-up hairballs.

Floors, hedgehogs, sock skiing.... aaaa... that reflection is blinding!  thunk
