So I decided to play with Poser 6's nodes.
So far so good, I'm getting the hang of it nicely...
And looking at the tricks I can make with displacement maps and the "blender" node, to separate "parts" of my material with something similar to an alpha map, I had this lovely idea to make a mix-and-match set for those nice clothes out there. Like, have people change the color and "metalic-y-ness" of trims and embroidered details in a MAT pose and the fabric around it in another.
Then I open my full MAT pose in notepad, trying the trick I used to do in Poser 4, if you want to change just the bump, delete the channels for diffuse color, highlights and such; the same idea should work with the nodes, right? So I just delete the nodes I don't want the MAT pose to change, like if I'm making the MAT for the fabric, I delete the nodes that would change trims and embroidery...
But then I test it. Poser DELETES the nodes, even if I had already applied them with a "load-this-first" pose. If it's not in the latest pose file I loaded, it disappears.
... Any idea on how I could make these "partial nodes" work?
Thanks in advance!

You can't do partial MAT poses with nodes, it's all or nothing.
You have to use a script, one that just does a specific manipulation, or something like ShaderSpider that is generic.

Thank you for the answer!
Do you know of a script that can do this? Would my customer need the script too?
And if I use Shader Spider, would my customers need to have it too?
