Attached Link: Smoke Plumes at RDNA
Need realistic smoke plumes in Poser?Head on over to the Node Cult at RDNA. After a lot of work, I made a tricky morphable prop and a few shaders to get you started.

Looks superb, BB. I'l take a look at it tomorrow when I'm actually awake and functioning. My brain is currently heading for the BSOD.

Awesome prop BB. It looks great. You weren't kidding when you said it renders slow. So, I tired it out one the scene I'm working on. The scene has 2 riverboats, a background image on a one sided square and your water shader. With one of these smoke plumes, Poser 6 and Poser 7 just about hangs. the riverboats have 2 smokestacks each so I'll have to use 4 of the plumes and by the way it's rendering with one, 4 will probably kill Poser.

Hey folks - cherokee and I worked out that sometimes it's better to render the smoke by itself and save that as a PNG. Then attach the rendered smoke to a prop so it doesn't have to do the math any more, or just overlay that in photoshop.
Just a tip. Saves time.

Or you can make clouds joining several spheres of different sizes and map the object with a tranz map.

Could you show an example? I've never had much success with that method, in terms of realism. What does this look like - what is the shader you use?

Those are some of the best-looking Poser smoke plumes that I've seen. Nice. And useful.
