I am using James as my figure and have everything I need EXCEPT the ability to make the hands look more masculinie with shorter fingernails. I can add the P4 Hand prop I suppose and make the current hand invisible but it doesn't line up right.
Is there not a way to get a more realistic male hand or to morph it to long slender vs short stubby?

Have you tried using the scale dials?

Yes - but it doesn't affect the long fingernails unless I am missing something. Now, if the fingernails themselves were scalable then that would work.
I like using the P4 hands in the Additional figures but I need them to attache properly to the James figure. They even have their own texture map separately from the body. But I would rather stick wth something that is original with James.
I wonder if AM has hand morphs....?

I believe you would need to make morphs in an outside application. You would export each of the ten body parts separately, from the zeroed pose, and shorten the nails there. Each of the resulting OBJs would need to be imported as MTs on the properties tabs of the affected parts.
With nothing else morphed, you could then make a full body morph which would give you a single dial to shorten all nails at once. Save that figure back to the library with a unique name.
Hope this makes sense. I just got up ;)

Just had a thought, I don't get many [LOL]. Have you tried the new morphing tool in Poser 7, assuming you have P7 of course!!

I can't master that tool - the minute I start applying changes the finger tip goes all crazy. I am using the smallest selection and have accumulate turned off with slight better results but I can't seem to select the mesh correctly.
This seems strange to me to have a male character with default long fingernails - seems like that should not be the case. I guess the Poser G2 characters are just not as rugged as the earlier ones...lol
Any other ideas anyone?? I'm surprised I haven't seen this issue brought up anywhere else...
