I just received word that "Little Frogs", my animation done entirely in Poser, was accepted for a screening at the Los Angeles International Children's Film Festival at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 6 at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Cool, eh? (The Hollywood screening at the Moondance International Film Festival at Universal Studios is this coming Sunday.) Once again proves Poser can be taken seriously as a 3D animation medium.

Thanks for the congrats, everyone.
I don't know when this particular animation will be available for public viewing outside of the two film festivals, as I also have entered it into a couple of others, and the odds of getting accepted sometimes diminish if the film has already been "released" for general public viewing (on YouTube, etc.). I'll make it available as soon as I can, though. In the meantime, you can always catch my "Tribute to Godzilla" all-Poser animation on YouTube (use search words "Poser" and "Godzilla").

Thanks again, everyone.
Hey, if you want to help the animation gain a little more fame for us Poser
supporters, the musician that scored the animation, Keri Latimer, and her
band "Nathan" from Canada are up for the ECHO Songwriting Prize, which is
awarded through public voting. (Not for the "Little Frogs" song, but
another one called "Scarecrow".) If you feel like it, you can help her
(and in that way, my Poser animation) get some attention by casting a vote

I understand why you don't want to show us the animation, but could you post a couple of still frames from it? It would be great to get an idea of what it looks like, even if we can't see the whole movie yet.

I'm familiar with their music. They originate from my city. Really talented.

Yes, they are very talented, and Keri is a superb song writer, singer and musician. It took her just one take after reading the story script to translate it into a recording that is nothing but amazing in the way it captured the tone of the story. I anamated to her music, and her musical talents made the animation work so well it is finding acceptance at film festivals and at the public schools were it has been test screened as a teaching aid in classes about cultural diversity and assimilation..
