Here is what gunsan said about her challenge:

LOL It only took thre cups of coffe and some cigarettes to find the new theme: Transitions.
That is what my mind works with just now on many  planes, and I believe of catching what is actual.
To me just now: Transition from summer to Autumn. I discovered it was time  to put on gloves today (to late)
Transitions between places (my train-trip)
Transition between being well and being ill
Transition between earth and heaven in me
Transition between my little hermit place and the big city
The list can go on in eternity, so make yourelf ready to enter the train!!!

Hugs and be buzy!!!
Gun

Thanks for a terrific idea, Gun!  This should really inspire a lot of great entries.

Let's run this until Sept. 28, 23:59 Renderosity time.  You may enter an existing work if you like, but we would prefer to see a new work created for this challenge... it IS a challenge after all, lol!  You may enter more than one work, but remember that in the voting, each entry will be judged separately.  Please, please, please put titles on your entries, especially if you have more than one.

OK, now go... and CREATE!!!

Great theme Gun! Here is one that just went into my gallery. The transition from Infrared light to the visible spectrum. Title: **One Thousand Fronds** Also, the transition for me from the first 1000 images in my gallery to the second thousand. ;']

Here is another transition, also a double one. First the transition between two kinds of water: icy and flowing. Then it is of course the transition between winter and spring. It is our little sea, 10 minutes walk from my house. It is called Ramsjön. Sjö is the Swedish word for lake.

Kort, your image is a wonder!

Gun saw my latest painting and commented that it would fit the Transitions Challenge.  So, here I am.  This is a twofer.  As I wrote an accompanying poem for the Writers Challenge.

The link is to the poem with a small version of the painting.

I appreciate being able to participate.  Thank Gun!

Thanks Kort for reminding me about the challenge and this image.   Let's see a zebra stripped macaw.  Very creative!  How many cups of coffee have you had?

OK, I will add it to the challenge.  This was originally titled Masquerade Ball, but I had a second look after some sleep and decided to change the title to duality.

On my second look, I saw a mask shared by two people, the couple attending the Masquerade Ball.  They have a shared public face, and a shared hidden private face.  They share the mood, gay on the outside, but somber on the inside, for whatever reason.

as i have little time because i am very busy building part of a town in the 3d modeling forum there is only now and then that i work on something else. this is what i add to now and then. there still has to be modeled a lot before it is ready, but as it is from the time 'analog' drawing was all there was it is, i think, the right thing for 'transitions'. sorry, it's still a wip, but as a wip is a transition too i thought i put it in.

gunsan posted Mon, 24 September 2007 at 5:48 AM

Val, so very bautiful and moody!
Koosie, I have tried, but I don't know what your transition is. You have to enlighten me.

Valerie-Ducom posted Mon, 24 September 2007 at 8:06 AM

Thanks Gog abd gunsan

Koosie, this work is so excellent and the render is increible !

koosievantutte posted Mon, 24 September 2007 at 9:07 AM

gun, this is a drawing table with triangles, ruler, card box for index cards, reference books, pencil sharpener and there will be much more on it when it is finished. the broad low drawer is for paper. it was used for  'technical' drawing. i used that for drawing posters, letters, advertisments and the like, but the computer took all that over. so this is the beginning of a transition.

I really appreciate  this photo, as I find clouds difficult to represent without under-exposing the landscape.  You've chosen an excellent balance here.

Attention to coincidence facilitates synchronicity.

Valerie-Ducom posted Mon, 01 October 2007 at 7:11 AM

Thanks Windworker for your commentary. It's a little hard to make it, because I make it in mode landscape with my camera and wihtout flash, so for to make it, I need the tripode and waiting the works of my camera (3 seconds of translation in the camera)... and without to touch it, or you make a very great and strange fractal lollll

What a fantastic group of entries we have this month!  Thanks for joining in to make this a great challenge.  It's now time to close the entries and let the voting begin!    You get to choose your 3 favorite entries, giving each of them 3, 2 or 1 points.  Remember, you are choosing an entry, not an artist.  If someone has posted more than one entry, you need to indicate which is your choice.

Your vote should look something like this:

Janus - "Two Faces" - 3 points
Change - "Is Good" - 2 points
Night - "Day" - 1 point

Put your votes right here in this thread.  Feel free to nominate Honorable Mentions or make comments.
