I need a good Text-to-Speech program for Mac that generates realistic voices - as realistic as possible, and with a variety of voices to select from. OSX's native text-to-speech is servicable, but simply not good enough quality for my Poser 7 animations. I do not have the Windows version of Poser, so a Windows Poser plug-in will not do. Any ideas? Been waiting a decade for a decent TTS app. Still waiting. TTS technology is retarded back almost the 80's. I would advise getting a good microphone and the free program Audacity, then using it's bitch bending and other features to change either your voice, or maybe some friends. You would be suprised how far you can push a bad impression into a decent performance. You could also look for voice actors in your area will to work for cheap to free.

That's why you shouldn't leave your Freud out on the floor. You're just asking to slip on it. :blushing: Yes... I meant Pitch bending. Although... if you're doing voice over for a NVITWAS video... :woot:

I have not tried it, but I believe Garage Band has some voice changing powers.

Hi:
If what you are looking for is a device to alter the character of your voice into almost anything conceiveable, including male to female and the opposite, then take a look at TC Helicon's VoicePro ... it does it all and quite convincingly.
