Subject: Wave won't work. Why?

I use Waves all the time, so I'm familiar with their overall nature.... but this
one is frustrating.

I'm trying to set up a wave contained in a PP2, to wiggle a pool of water.

The wave works fine on the pool when it's an independent prop, so I know the
mesh itself is dense enough to move, and I know the PP2 has the right smartparent
and deformtarget lines.

But when the pool is rigged as a body part of the fountain, the wave refuses to
affect it.

Before I continue with more blind trial and error, is there something in the
fountain CR2 that needs to be different?  Or something in the wave PP2?

dave, you've got "bend" turned off for both waters in the Fountain figure--once that's changed, the waves work fine.  -jan-

Aha!  Thanks!  I didn't realize 'bend' affected the action of deformers!

(I semi-consciously assumed it was only for the joint-weighting stuff.)

@Khai-senberg: I'm a little uncertain, but in principle you're right.
