Hi,
How does one save a figure position as part of a pose in P7? I think it was easier in P6, but there isn't anything which prompts me. I want to keep the translations and rotations as part of the pose.
thanks

If you translate and rotate the figure using the Hip the placement should be kept in the pose. I'm pretty sure that Body translations aren't saved.

OK, thanks. That's a big help.

When you go to save the pose, a window should come up asking you "Select additional information you want to save" the tic box options will be "Morph Channels" and Body transformations"
Checking "Body transformations" will save the current position of the figure in the saved Pose. "Morph channels" will save, well, morph channels, (body morphs, facial expressions etc)

What SYNTRIFID said is correct, but for P7 only.
What Raven said is correct for previous version of Poser. If you have the Hip selected, just before saving a Pose.PZ2(to the Pose library,) then any time you apply that pose your figure will be returned to those Pose Space Coordinates.

What Angelouscuitry said is mostly correct, except that it is irrelevant which part of the figure is selected when you save the pose.

Doesn't matter what part of the character is selected before applying the pose in Poser 7 the pose will still work. As well lesbentley is correct about not having to have any specific body part selected before saving the pose it should be saved no problem, I usually do body just out of some unknown reason. :tongue2:

At very least from P4 on up.
