Just changing the nature of the site a bit and I'm cutting all the extra bandwidth. If you don't have any other place to host them, then feel free to contact me. As it stands, /models and /artists are going down on monday.

good run though :)

Understandable, since bandwidth isn't free. It was quite generous of you while it lasted though.

Of course now the fun will begin since it will probably kill at least half of my R'osity FreeStuff links... Now I just have to figure out if I still have some of that stuff around. (Should be on the HDD or a CD I hid away somewhere.) But don't worry, I'll figure out something eventually.

Anyhow if there's anyone that has some of my ol' freebie stuff, free redistribution is ok - provided the readme.txt and any other files associated with the model are kept together.

If some of you need your stuff hosted gimme a pm.Got 400,000 MB's bandwidth a month going to waste.

"Reinstall Windows" is NOT a troubleshooting step.

I figured it might be worth it to move stuff to ShareCG. Since they appear to be setup for that kind of thing. Also they give a little kickback  if traffic is good enough. (Although it's not that important to me as having my 3D models available.) I'll still keep note of your offer wildman, since I do have some non-model type content that might need a home. (HTML, Flash, or Audacity created .mp3 experiments and the such.)

the basic idea is that over the years i've hosted people's models and sites. i don't mind doing that, at all, and i do have all the spare bandwidth and space i want. i just want to clean up a bit. if you need the space i don't have a problem with you keeping it :)'

i just wanna clean up the riff-raff

Ahhh...  I thought you really really needed the room... (It sounded urgent.) Shrug  So I took account of the heads-up (which is much appreciated) and got to moving.

I was getting the online equivalent of the "good friend who let you use the spare room as a workshop now has a girlfriend wanting to move in, while at the same time a studio a block over has a gallery spot opening up and they really like your stuff" kinda vibe. No hard feelings, and possibly a good thing. So I was rolling with it, even if I misunderstood the situation. 🆒

Besides, with the photography and related on your blog, I think you could develop something really cool out of that. Having a more focused site would help, and not confuse search engines and whatever and improve your online presence. The cleanup would probably do it a world of good.
