I am looking for a chain  with medium thick,  round links that can be posed to be either straight or curved.

I have Kawecki's chain kit but the links are not round and they are more "chunky" than what I need.

I have also spent a few hours looking around the poser sites and stores and while I have found several chains for free or in stores, none have round and "delicate" links like I'm looking for. They all seem geared to slavery and dungeons and built on the bulky side to reflect that genre.

So you guys with modelling ability are my  last resort :)

Here is a picture along the lines of what I need:

I don't need any end clasps, just the chain itself.  Something about 24 links should work and if I need something longer I can always put 2 together.

I can try to make one.  I would like to know which software you are going to use it with.

Poser.  It doesn't even need to be textured because I can add a material in the material room. I just need the chain and the ability to curve it  into a 1/2 circle  as if  it was draped.

I created a chain of rings by using Blender and exported it into .OBJ.  I don't know if you can use it or not.

You can get the file from www.sharecg.com/v/14110/3d-model/Chain-of-Rings

Thank you! The rings look the perfect size.

Is there anyway to add some morphs to it so that it can be either straight or bend/curve like in the attached image?

It is because I did it in Blender, I can make it follow the path like that, but it is fixed once I export it.
I think you may want to use the bones in Poser to achieve that.  With IK enabled, I think it will be easier to pose.

Ok, I'll try the bone thing. I'll check in the Poser forum to see if someone can show me how. I'm due to learn something new, hehe

Thanks for making the chain. At least now I have something to work with and am a step closer.

Acadia, I have a chance to play with Poser, I converted my chain into Poser format with IK enabled.  It is really interesting.  You can hold the end of the chain and pose it.
