Hello,
I need help draping a bra made by Svdl over the fingers of V3 as if she were holding it out getting ready to drop it to the floor.. The prop is smart propped to V3. How can I accomplish this? What do I do?
Thanx,
DayTimer

You should be able to use the XYZ Trans dials to move the bra to the hand, then use one of the hand cameras to get in close to the hand so that you can pose each finger joint. Once you have it positioned like you want, go to Figure and "Parent" and parent it to the hand.

You may also want to run the bra through the Cloth Room a bit and get it to deform over the hand as if it were actually cloth...

Thanks for the quick responses, but I did both suggestions. Still I could not get it to work. The tutorials here at the site only instruct how to apply a pose where the figure is wearing a piece of dynamic clothing that is smart-propped. None have I found instructing where a piece is supposed to be draped over something not being worn that I recall.
When is the clothing supposed to be applied, after the figure is posed at the final frame or the first frame? If the article is already parented to the chest , let us say, is it supposed to be parented to the hand as Arcadia mentioned then run thru the cloth room? Of the 3 boxes on the collision feature, which do I check?
I apologize for all of the questions, but I have done it so much, I have gotten myself confused and now I continue to go around in circles. Please help. Any will be appreciated.
Thanx again,
DayTimer

You can convert that bra to dynamic using this tutoria. So far as the dynamics of it go, you would have it collide against the parts of the body IE: hands and fingers, that it will be coming into contact with. Just as if you were draping a cloth over a box/table.

Attached Link: something like this ?
This uses SVDLs dynamic underwear. What I did was set the pose for the figure then used the trans/rotate dials to get the edge of the knickers just above her finger. Head for the cloth room and set up a new sim. Make sure you don't start the drape from the zero pose and set the cloth to collide with the figure as you would normally then just run the simHTH
