Which is the best and easiest program to make Poser MAT poses from textures? I have the free Mat Pose Editor, but it looks confusing.  I would like to make my own textures and poses. Thanks.

PS. I need this to work with Poser 6 and 7 and Vicky 4 and 4.1. There are two in the RMP, but they are for older versions of Poser and V3, I believe.

Instead of using outside software, you can make a MAT pose by saving the cr2 figure back to the library and then editting it in a text editor. Here's a tutorial: Making MAT Poses (Quick Method)

Poser 6 and 7 are the best programs.

goto the material room and save a material collection.

yes, easiet way is to make your material collection right in Poser & save it.  then you can use ockham's  python script to convert the mc6's to pz2's, so you can use them from the Pose library.  http://ockhamsbungalow.com/PPP/MC6%20-%20MT5%20-%20PZ2.zip

Do i read this right ... i make a material file in the material room ..and this script coverts it to a mat/pose file ...
If so does that work with props too ! and then i mean props that are not parented and alone in the scene ...

mc6 files work on unparented props alone in the scene

MAT pz2 still work the way they always have, even if they are made from mc6 files.

Thanks everyone! I need to start making a little money off my very expensive Poser habit, LOL!

BAR-CODE--there's just no way to make a prop take a matpose without some kind of figure being present somewhere in the scene.  doesn't need to be parented (P5 up).  i usually stick a Null Figure in when i'm rendering props by themselves, because that way they'll accept the poses.
drifterlee--looking forward to what you come up with!

Question: When I save the materials as a collection after textureing V4 in the materials room, the collection does not show up when I run the python script for conversion to Mats and is not even in the materials collection at all. I can't find it. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
