Has anyone besides me had their Renderosity email address compromised?  For my member profile I used to use an email address that was common to several 3D art communities (Rendo, DAZ, etc.).  But recently it was compromised: I started to receive email from spammers.  For example:

I am DR. YEMI OLABISI of Julad International Medical Hosiptal. I wish to solicit for your assistance in this transaction,
which I strongly believe will be of mutual benefit to both of us if treated with trust and confidentiality it deserves.
 
I have in my possession complete document that covers a huge amount of money belonging to late Mrs. Lisa Musa who died of cancer last month.

But, since the address was used at several sites, I didn't know where the leak occurred.  So, I changed my email address at each site to be unique.  Now, my email address at Rendo is used ONLY at Rendo.  Well, after only about a week with the new Rendo email address, it has once again "fallen" into the hands of spammers.  I, personally, have NEVER used this new Rendo email address to communicate with anyone.  

So what's the story?  Has Renderosity sprung a leak?????

In another thread about this email problem, Andy Welder offers the opinion that the Rendo email addresses are being stolen from some MEMBER'S computer which has been compromised by a spammer.  If you ever write to that member (or members) using your Rendo email address then your email address will be stolen.  I imagine that Andy may be correct that that is sometime happening.  But that doesn't explain my situation (and the situation reported by many other members).

A week ago (approximately) I created a new email address specifically for Renderosity.  I have NEVER used this email address to communicate with ANYONE.  I have NEVER received any email at this address from ANYONE BUT RENDEROSITY.  And yet it has ALREADY been compromised !!!

Now, if MY system was compromised, I could expect to receive spam from all my various addresses (DAZ, AMAZON, etc).  But I don't.  Just my Rendo address is compromised.

Tell me, Andy, how can this be anyone's fault but Renderosity's???

There is already a thread which I'm assuming you are aware of since you made mention of a few things from that other thread. Please post in that thread and do not start a new post on the same exact subject.  There is already lots of information in that thread so it needs to all stay in the same place.
