Hi all,
I am new to Bryce, like a month or two of occasional learning, and I wanted to post one of my early animations. I hope this is an appropriate place to do this. It is all done with presets, so you may think it is pretty simple, but it still takes a fair amount of time to tweak the textures and timeline to be just how you want it, not to mention the time it takes to render. Anyway, here it is:
I just love Bryce! This is version 5.5, the free one. I wonder how much better 6 is.

There are mixed 'reviews' about br 5.5 vs br 6
I personally feel that the version is worth the upgrade price ($40).
It has better terrain tools and better library structure. Handles memory better. Can use hdri lighting (very slow, but nice results). Those are the things I though were worth the upgrade.
