Ok obviously I am missing something because I know what I am trying to do works for some people.

*I create the scene in Poser
*I import the scene into carrara via transposer

Carrara 5 pro

Is this a known bug?  Is there a work around?  I am so tired of having to load every single thing into Poser first, then if the pose isn't exactly right I have to load it back to poser, scrap all my work and start again.  I KNOW this isn't the way it's suppose to go.

Any help very much appreciated.

You'd think Daz would make it easier to use Daz models inside Carrara....
Maybe they have and I just completely missed the bus.

Hi JJ, Well, doing everything in Carrara is what Carrar6 is all about. ;-) Transposer is only a linking software. So, dragging Transposer items into the browser has mixed results - and they're never predictable. The Browser is really for "real" content - items that aren't linked or otherwise listed as a proxy in Carrara. Mark

can an .obj be considered a "real" object?

In other words, there has to be a way to bypass Poser altogether at least for the objects.

I found that you can pose, move, even put conforming clothing on V4 inside Carrara, but I have not been able to figure out how to load my morphs, so for now figures for me will still have to be done inside Poser.

(right now $$ just doesn't allow the 100 upgrade - crossing my fingers for Holiday gifts = )

I have tried loading just .obj when I do the mapping textures are messed up and I don't find the shading room of Carrara to be incredibly friendly.  I did watch all the shading tutorials - did I miss something>

there appears to be some difference between loading morphs in V3 and V4, whether in poser7 or c6pro. perhaps daz has explained it at their site. what I heard was that v3 loads morphs via morph inj file, but v4 does it automatically, somehow (if said morphs are present to load). not sure how.
