I'm new to Vue and would like to create outdoor natural scenes. I would also like to utilize 3rd party objects such as forests, trees, and mountains. Which version of Vue would you recommend?

Vue6 Infinite would give you the best results. IMHO.

Try the Vue PLE (Personal Learning Edition).  It's free and will give you the best idea if you will like Vue.  Then, look at the comparrison chart on e-on's site  and decide how much Vue you want.  Get Esprit and the eco-module at a minimum.  You can always add modules or upgrade later.

I use Esprit 6 with the eco and botanica modules and you can check my Gallery out and see that you can create almost any outdoor scene with Vue alone.  Maybe a little touchup of the color with a 2D graphic editor.
