A while ago I posted a thread about some new techniques to resize images. Here is the latest. There is now a plugin for The Gimp that makes use of this algorithm. This video demo's some of the features, but what is most interesting is the last part of it, where it's being used to edit out parts of an image.

Damn, thats really really interesting! Who would have thought it was that easy! The idea is brilliant, makes you wonder what kind of brilliant algorithms our own brains must use for things such as recognition..

That could be a good resaon to add gimp to my editing tools.
