Hello:
I wonder if any of the animating experts on this forum can suggest a good tutorial or,alternatively, provide information regarding the production of smoothly animated characters.  I have been using a 30fps rate and keyframing every 4 frames in Poser 7 and the limb and body movements are quite jerky in nature.
Thank you in advance.

make sure all the graphs are linear for all the limb parameters. the curved interpolation is sposeta represent more natural human motion, but only in keyframe ranges of 1 per 15 or less (e.g. 1 per 30) IMVHO.

My 2 cents: you should only have a keyframe where you need it, and animate each body part indivdually as needed, building your curves in the Graph Editor. Curves are actually fine for human movement, but you need to control them in the Graph Editor to create smoother or sharper movement. In the graph editor, tight curves and sharp verical climbs and drops represent faster/sharper movement, while the looser, flatter curves are smoother  & slower movement. Generally, you shouldn't have many sharp corners in human movement, since even the sharpest movements usually have a little "give."

Thank you both ... I will examine the graphs and see where the problem lies.

BTW, Tim, I enjoyed the link,  impressive work.
